Monthly medal winners
Saturday 5th July we staged the July Monthly medal. The competition holds 3 divisions offering a winners’ prize for each division.
- Div 1 winner: Chris Houfe 71 – 5 = 66
- Div 2 winner: Scott Troy 79 – 14 = 65
- Div 3 winner: John White 88 – 22 = 66
An exceptional round of 71 gross from in-form division 1 player and A team captain, Mr Chris Houfe. Chris also shot best gross score last weekend taking just 68 blows to complete the tricky links. Those two rounds have seen Chris down to a 4 handicap.
Excellent golf Chris, well done!
Sunday 6th – Shop Comp
Following on from last week we received a positive number of competition entries although none of them managed a 2 on any hole. That meant all the 2’s balls were rolled over to this Sunday where just a couple of 2’s were claimed. All 34 balls being divided between Mr Ian Reeves (below, left) & Bob Irving (below, right), well done guys!
Phil Easter (below, left) managed to claim pole position once again in the yellow block competition where he is becoming a weekly contender. Maybe he has claimed the name #YellowPhil
Winner: Phil Easter 42 points
Wed night 18 hole Stableford
The final 18 hole Wednesday stableford was held this week. Topping the leader board was Josh Ainscough with a blistering 43 points, dominating the field by 4 shots. Although that wasn’t the headlines of the day… Mr Steve Tither (above, right) managed to rattle his tee shot against the pin on the 264 yard par 4 - 3rd hole, then followed the putt into the hole for an Eagle 2. He then stood on the par 3 - 4th hole and holed out from the tee for a Hole-in-1 and back-to-back Eagles.
Congratulations to Josh and Steve!
