Last week was a close call but this week the elements defied the Winter League. 40 MPH strong winds made it a total impossibility finish a round of golf. That wasn't for not trying, as the usual fairway soldiers took to the first tee, only to last six holes. That leaves Kevin Barber at the top of the leaderboard for week 12 and the owner of the Yellow Jersey for another week. Time is running out, can he be caught?
Week 13 coming soon. Game on!
Single Stableford
Once again the elements were too tough, even for the Stamford lads. This time for a different reason, a light dusting of snow Friday night made the greens unputtable Saturday morning. Fingers crossed this week for playable conditions for the betterball stableford.

Roy and His 10K Run for Macmillan Cancer Trust
With pleasure I can pass on the details of Roy Sidebottoms intentions to raise funds for the Macmillan cancer trust. Roy has asked if I can pass on the full details of his just giving page;
"Thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving page. I am running for Macmillan Cancer trust this summer, in the Manchester 10k (28th May), in memory of my dear father who passed away in January, as many of you know, after an 18 month battle with cancer. The Macmillan nurses supported my dad amazingly through his battle, indeed, they even visited him on their day off! I can't speak highly enough of them, whatever they are paid, it isn't enough. I know my Dad was very grateful for their care, support and attention through what was a difficult time for us all."
"Please donate if you can, a pound, 10, or anything. It is extremely very much appreciated. Strength & honour x"
