Winter League - week 7
The excitement is building as we add week 7 to the winter league. It could prove an expensive mistake for Kev Barber as he takes a week out and Steve Moores capitalises on good playing conditions with yet another 40 points. Steve now tops the winter league by a convincing 14 points and sits confidently in the quarterfinal of the Winter KO, it appears he could be the man to catch.
On the other hand we have Paul Murray who is currently under some swing developments with myself. He's posted a second successive 44 points and has 2 games in hand on the league leader. Runner up in week 6 and winner in week 7 means he's hitting form just at the right time. Only time will tell, but this really is heating up! Reports suggest poor playing conditions are just around the corner but we have yet to lose a winter league. Of the potential 7 weeks so far we have completed all 7, however, snow and high winds are rapidly approaching the west side of the country, making week 8 of the winter league look doubtful. Has winter finally arrived? Who will stand his ground and prove worthy of the "Ice Man" title? |
