Following on from the eagerly awaited first major championship of the year, the
US Masters, I am hoping all of my readers are excited about getting back out onto the fairways. That coupled with the Easters holidays and some UK sunshine, I am preparing myself for a fast start to the year.
Mark Smith Golf classic
Due to a hectic schedule over recent weeks/months I have been unable to promote my golf day on 2nd May. This leaves me with no other option but to reschedule the date and therefore I have to cancel the 2nd May. This means the golf course is available to members for general play as usual that day.
I will hopefully announce a new date in the not too distant future.
If that isn’t enough to get the year off to a flying start, then England Golf & National Golf Month have setup a scheme to draw new golfers and old golfers back to the game. The good news is I am taking part as one of PGA Professionals who are offering those FREE lessons.
Working with National Golf Month I am scheduled to promote the FREE lessons from 6th May – 10th May right here at Stamford Golf Club. If there has ever been a time for you to find the game and feel at ease, then right now it is. All you are required to do is drop me a line here and we can schedule you in for your first session. Terms and conditions do apply, as one lesson is available per individual. The lessons are available to new golfers and to encourage old golfers back to the game.

Dwayne Lloyd goes Strike, pitch, spin & in!
Most of you will have spotted him around the course recently, perfecting his skills ready for the new season. Currently spending more time on the golf course than the flag sticks themselves, there’s no wonder Dwayne has managed to perfect his ability to the smallest of margins.
On Good Friday the 18th May, Dwayne took part in the Easter competition where he managed his FIRST ACE. On the 14th hole it was a case of pitching it next to the hole, a touch of back spin and in it went.

Stamford Golf Clubs latest promotion in an attempt to drive new golfers to the club is a 20% discount off all advertised membership prices. That includes all membership packages, there is 20% discount off the initial price.

Junior Golf Classes
We are proud to announce the Beginning of weekly Junior golf coaching at Stamford Golf Club on Tuesday 29th May at 16:00 – 18:00. The cost is just £2 per individual and we will have 2 PGA Professonals on sight (majority of the time) to help develop their whole game.
