Yards gained
This week I have gained 26 yards. How? Using my general knowledge and technology. Well maybe that isn't quite accurate, although I have managed to help other people gain 26 yards. Using the information provided by Foresight sports GC2 technology in the swing room, club fitting has helped gain these customers extra length.
Kevin Walsh
Kevin was using a set of senior flex King Cobra graphite irons straight from the shelf. Following a 50 minute fitting, Kevin walked away with a set of PING graphite irons, not too dissimilar from the irons he was using, although we managed to find him a further 8 yards carry. This coupled with a club head that fits the dynamics of his swing, helped us achieve more distance.
"Quite remarkable. I didn't even know Mark offered this service, I was almost on my way to a golf store. The difference between my old clubs and new, is like comparing an old Mini to a new Jaguar."
Geoff Roberts
Following a fitting for his wife, and receiving good reports at home, Geoff was urged to come and see me. I took him through the process of club fitting and we managed to find another 10 yards carry on his irons.
"My wife mentioned how impressive this service was, so I felt I was missing out. It was inevitable I made a purchase, after the promised distance increase. I didn't even realize mark offered such a service."
Terry Merson
Currently using TaylorMade R7 irons, Terry booked himself in for a PING fitting. GMax was the preferred option, although he was open to recommendations. Terry was carrying his TaylorMade 7 iron on average 121 yards. We set up the PING GMax and Terry gained himself a further 8 yards using the customized PING 7 iron.
"I simply come here for the customer service. Mark, you smile and I feel welcome. Oh and you gained me 8 yards carry. Thank you"!

Secret Member
Last week we had a hidden member article which proved very popular.
Those who did email in managed to get the answer correct.
For those who were unsure the secret member was George Mackey.
That day George made a name for himself using the new Wilson DX2 soft golf ball.
He accumulated 35 points over 14 holes and has become a newly converted Wilson ball player.

Personal
This week I would like to introduce you to my second secret member. Born in Oldham by parents who were also from Oldham, there's no surprise this Gentleman supports Oldham Athletic Football Club. He is Father to two and Grandfather to three. He is required to wear a High Vis vest at all times.
Golf
He joined in the Golf Club in the centenary year which was 2001, in which time he has achieved 2 Major competition wins and captained his team (could be A, B team or Rabbits) and reached an all-time low of 7 handicap.
Having served no time on the club council, he has never served as the club Captain. Finally, his most embarrassing golfing experience occurred only very recently.
For those who have an idea, answers on a postcard please...
The ever so popular Winter League is back this weekend. Having missed last Sunday for the annual Christmas Cracker, it'll be an early night for many, as there are points to won on Sunday. Current standings are...
